Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Nursing is to provide affordable access to high quality, innovative education for a diverse population of students. The faculty supports and engages students in the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to prepare them for licensure and employment as Registered Professional Nurses.  Using evidence-based practice, graduates are equipped to provide quality, safe, patient centered care for diverse populations through teamwork and collaboration. This education provides the information literacy necessary to be an inquisitive lifelong learner in a technologically complex, dynamic, healthcare system.
